King-American Ambulance Company has provided service in San Francisco since 1906. The Company operates advanced life support units and basic life support units and staffs these units with Emergency Medical Technician-1As and Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedics. At present King-American's work schedule has various shifts available, which are staggered throughout the day and night.
Employees receive as part of wage benefits, eight paid holidays and eight paid sick days. After one year of service employees receive two weeks paid vacation followed by three weeks after three years and four weeks after ten years
of service.
King-American will match up to three percent of new employees 401K contributions.

King-American provides its personnel with uniforms as well as jumpsuits for nighttime use, special designated events and for air flights. The Company also provides for the cleaning of all uniforms.
