King-American Ambulance Company has provided service in San Francisco since 1906. The Company operates advanced life support units and basic life support units and staffs these units with Emergency Medical Technician-1As and Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedics. At present King-American's work schedule has various shifts available, which are staggered throughout the day and night.

Continuing Education Reimbursements

King-American Paramedics and EMT’s are paid a straight time hourly rate for minimum required continuing education credits for re-certification. King-American also pays for certification and challenge fees that are required by the local Emergency Services Agency.

Uniforms

King-American provides its personnel with uniforms as well as jumpsuits for nighttime use, special designated events and for air flights. The Company also provides for the cleaning of all uniforms.
